Agatha Christie's detective novels have inspired countless film and TV adaptations over the years.
Now, Netflix have tried their hand at an adaptation, bringing the queen of crime's 1929 novel, The Seven Dials Mystery, to life on the streamer.
The new three-part series, which is titled Agatha Christie's Seven Dials, comes courtesy of writer Chris Chibnall, and as with any Christie adaptation worth its salt, a stacked cast has been employed to tell the story.
Mia McKenna-Bruce leads the way as Bundle, a young woman who becomes an amateur sleuth when it appears that a practical joke at a country house party has gone horribly, murderously wrong, while the likes of Martin Freeman and Helena Bonham Carter also star.
Speaking about the adaptation, McKenna-Bruce previously told Radio Times magazine: “It’s different to what we’ve seen before, but it still clings on to the things people love about Christie. We’ve got the classic scene where all the suspects are in a room and Superintendent Battle is unpicking it all and revealing the killer."
She added: "It’s got the dark side to keep you hooked constantly, but it’s set in the roaring 20s and has this young, fresh, glitzy vibe. Visually, it’s stunning and, for me, watching it made me want to jump into that world, despite all the death!”
