During the second installment of the series’ One-on-One specials, Kody addressed claims of a supposed “backdoor deal” between him and Janelle Brown involving the sale of the family’s Coyote Pass land, allegedly made without Meri Brown’s and Robyn’s knowledge. In a clip posted to Instagram, he claimed that while he and Janelle initially discussed the plan, Robyn ultimately stepped in to ensure the transaction was handled fairly.
One-on-One host Sukanya Krishnan asked Kody, "Is Robyn the reason why you didn't do this backdoor deal with Janelle?" He replied, "Robyn is the moral compass who told me I was being wrong."
He continued, "Janelle and I couldn't have made that backdoor deal work. It was an idea."

Then, it was time for Janelle to weigh in. "Yeah, she likes to be 'I'm not gonna do it until it's all fair and equal.'" Krishnan questioned, "So why is Robyn saying she is the reason this was all fair?"
Her remark caused Janelle to laugh loudly. "She's the paragon of righteousness. You give power to get power."
