Lee Brice is heartbroken. The country music star revealed his beloved family dog, Charlee, has gone missing after running away earlier this month.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Jan. 18, the 46-year-old artist shared a series of snapshots of his furry four-legged friend and noted that the Labrador was also pregnant.
“Two weeks ago, our sweet girl Charlee slipped away from home, and our hearts have been heavy ever since,” Brice captioned his emotional message in hopes that others would spread the word or keep a lookout. “She’s not just a dog, she’s family. She’s pregnant, carrying those little pups, and every day that passes without her safe in our arms feels like a lifetime.”
Although it’s already been 14 days since Charlee vanished from the family home, she is likely in the Nashville, Tenn., area, as that is where Brice spends a significant amount of time. However, the “Hard To Love” singer said he has thoroughly “searched every back road, called every shelter, and prayed harder than we ever have.”
“Charlee, if you’re out there, hang on, my pretty girl. Daddy’s coming for you,” Brice wrote in his note before asking anyone who has seen his post to send him a direct message or comment.
“To everyone reading this, y’all know how much our four-legged friends mean to us country folks. If you’ve seen a pregnant dog that looks like her, or heard anything at all, please message me, comment below, or share this post,” he wrote. “Any little clue could bring her home to her babies... and to us.”
Fans and Followers Have Rallied Around the Country Star, Sharing Hope That Charlee Will Be Found

Brice closed out his message by sharing his appreciation for all of the support he’s received from folks hoping Charlee will be found safe and unharmed.
“Thank y’all from the bottom of this worried heart. Your kindness and prayers mean the world,” Brice said, adding, “She could be anywhere in or around the Nashville area… by now she could be anywhere from way south of Franklin, to past Dickson west of town, or any surrounding areas.”
