CHICAGO BEARS VS. LOS ANGELES RAMS (NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND) — While Chicago’s football team has its fair share of doubters, don’t count Tom Brady among them. Judging by this clip, it sounds like Brady believes this team can hold serve at home and punch their ticket to the NFC Championship Game — and I hope he is right:
“It’s going to be a Herculean task for the Rams to go in there and win..”Sounds like Tom Brady thinks the frigid temps sets up a Bears victory. Via @NFLonFOX pic.twitter.com/H8fDGzadKz
CHICAGO VS. LOS ANGELES — SUNDAY’S NOTES
For The Win’s Robert Zeglinski shares a Matthew Stafford factoid that feels pertinent as I write this post while watching snow fall outside my window:
Stafford is 3-3 in his career in freezing conditions (anything at or below 32 degrees). That’s actually pretty solid with all things considered, as Stafford has also thrown for over 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns to just three interceptions in said contests. However, Stafford is just 1-9 when a game involves both cold and inclement conditions. Yikes. That’s a BIG difference.
And because I know you care about Caleb Williams’ numbers in freezing conditions, here you go:
127 of 213 (59.6%) 1,483 yards (6.96 yards/attempt) 11 touchdowns (5.16 TD%) 4 interceptions (1.87 INT%) 90.2 passer ratingThe quarterback matchup is a doozy. As is the showdown between coaches who might not be seeing eye to eye going into this one. Is Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson coaching against Sean McVay and his coaching tree after beating Matt LaFleur and the Packers last week? This game has so many juicy storylines. I look forward to seeing how they play out.
