The LSU Tigers continued to add talent out of the transfer portal, earning a commitment from former Central Florida running back Stacy Gage on Saturday.
Gage, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound redshirt freshman from Tampa, will have 3 years of remaining eligibility.
Gage appeared in 3 games for the Knights as a first-year player in 2024.
In 2025, he made appearances in 8 games while gaining 63 yards on 13 carries with a touchdown. His best performance came on Sept. 6 against North Carolina A&T, when he rushed for 30 yards on 5 carries and a touchdown in a 68-7 UCF victory. Gage also gained 24 yards on 6 carries against Cincinnati on Oct. 11 and added 9 yards on 2 carries against Kansas State on Sept. 27.
Gage marks the 36th incoming transfer for LSU under new coach Lane Kiffin. That still doesn’t bring the Tigers back to par, as they have seen 37 players enter the transfer portal.
LSU went 7-6 after underperforming amid high expectations in 2025, a record that caused the school to fire coach Brian Kelly during the season. LSU then lured Kiffin away from Ole Miss even though the Rebels were on the cusp of their first College Football Playoff berth – a controversial move that was magnified when offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. and several assistants stayed with Ole Miss through their Playoff run.
