LSU continued to build its 2026 roster for Lane Kiffin‘s first season in Baton Rouge by getting a commitment from Maryland transfer offensive lineman Aliou Bah on Friday afternoon.
Bah told On3’s Hayes Fawcett of his decision to head from the Big Ten to the SEC for the 2026 season. The mammoth 6-foot-6, 327-pound Bah decided that he wanted to be a part of Kiffin’s first team at LSU after taking a visit to Baton Rouge earlier this week. He was rated as a top-100 offensive lineman in the transfer portal, and he’ll come to LSU in 2026 with a starting-caliber pedigree, having made 23 straight starts for the Terrapins.
Not only has Bah proven to be durable, he’s also been really effective, allowing just one sack across 1,500 snaps in the trenches for Maryland.

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) January 16, 2026Bah will be continuing a whirlwind collegiate career at LSU this fall, and it won’t be his first time in the SEC, either. He started his college career at Georgia, originally signing with the Bulldogs after being a 3-star recruit in the Class of 2022. But things didn’t go great for Bah in Athens, as he redshirted in 2022 before playing in just 3 games in 2023.
Then it was off to Maryland for the 2024 season. Bah was part of a Terrapins offensive line that allowed only 7 sacks this past season, which ranked 2nd in the Big Ten.
Bah is a Memphis native who chose LSU over other SEC programs that showed interest. Auburn was one of those SEC schools, along with Arkansas and Mizzou.
