Egypt has purchased from Japanese company KalTech its new air purifier that is said to be effective against a number of viruses, including coronavirus, businessman Tamer Wageeh announced. During a telephone interview with the “Al-Hekaya” program, Wageeh told host Amr Adeeb that Egypt received the first batch purifiers two days ago, becoming the first country in the world outside Japan to use them. Wageeh explained that the devices employs photocatalysis by using a titanium dioxide filter, which works to inactivate the virus. The device will be distributed directly in all governorates, Wageeh said, adding that the group has contracted with a number of hospitals, banks and companies to provide
