Investigators are searching for a missing 21-year-old Arizona woman, who was last seen leaving a friend’s home and never arrived for her work shift the next day, according to officials.
Isabella Comas disappeared under “suspicious circumstances” on Sunday, January 11, the Avondale Police Department confirmed in an emailed statement to Us Weekly.
Comas left her friend’s home in Avondale that afternoon, around 3:00 p.m., while driving a red Hyundai Sonata, according to a news release shared by police on Wednesday, January 14.
She “has not been seen or heard from since,” police said.
The next day, on Monday, January 12, Comas never made it to work, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said in a Turquoise Alert.

In Arizona, Turquoise Alerts are issued to help authorities find people who are considered missing and endangered, and are under 65 years old.
“Isabella was reported missing after her friend was not picked up for work by Isabella as per usual,” the public safety department said.
Comas’ phone has since been found, according to the agency. The department did not specify where her phone was located.
Comas’ car was also located the evening of Tuesday, January 13, in Phoenix, Avondale police confirmed in the statement shared with Us. Avondale is about a 15-mile drive west from Phoenix.
Comas is Hispanic, 5-foot-3, weighs about 110 pounds, and has brown eyes and pink hair, according to police.
She was last seen wearing a baggy white shirt that has a black logo, and black pants, police said in an update.
The Avon Police Department released a surveillance photo of Comas, wearing the outfit.
The image is from the day she disappeared and shows her at a QuikTrip store in Avon on January 11, according to police.
“Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding this ongoing investigation, we are unable to release additional details at this time as detectives continue to actively pursue leads related to Ms. Isabella Coma’s disappearance,” Avondale police said on January 14. “We greatly appreciate the community’s ongoing support and encourage anyone with information to continue responding to her Turquoise Alert.”
“The tips received so far have been extremely helpful in moving this case forward,” the police department added.

Comas’ disappearance comes about six months after the state launched its Turquoise Alert system as part of a “new statewide initiative,” the state Department of Public Safety said in a July 10, 2025, news release.
The measure was enacted as part of “Emily’s Law,” which Governor Katie Hobbs signed into law on May 13, 2025.
The law is named after Emily Pike, a San Carlos Apache tribal member, according to the agency.
Turquoise Alerts go out for missing individuals when “local law enforcement has exhausted all available resources,” and “there is reason to believe the individual is in danger or in the company of a potentially dangerous person.”
Anyone with information related to Comas’ potential whereabouts is asked to call Avon police at 623-333-7000. The police department said anonymous tips can be sent to Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
