PGT 2025 season concludes, with Chad Eveslage taking home the win

The 2025 PokerGO Tour (PGT) has officially come to an end, with Chad Eveslage topping a field of 54 entries to become the winner, taking home $500,000.

The American poker player is no stranger to winning, as he’s also a four-time WSOP bracelet winner and it was reported that as of July 2025, his career earnings amounted to a massive $10.6 million.

In the 2025 season, his highlights appear to have been his win in the Super High Roller Bowl Mixed Games for $1,200,000, along with runs in PGT-qualifying events throughout the year.

When he qualified for the championship, he did so with 1,423 PGT points and is described as having “methodically worked his way through the field.” It was after Michael Wang was eliminated in third place, when Eveslage began heads-up play against Andrew Lichtenberger with better than a 4-to-1 chip lead.

Alex Foxen crowned PGT Player of the Year

Ultimately, the match ended when Eveslage’s pocket jacks held against Lichtenberger’s eight-six. While it’s Eveslage who has joined an elite group of PGT Championship winners, the PGT Player of the Year went to Alex Foxen.

He secured the title in the final event of the regular season, as he needed a fourth-place finish or better to overtake Sam Soverel, who was sitting at the top of the leaderboard. While those were the requirements, the player went one step further as he won the event outright for $232,400 and clinched the title.

Throughout the season, Foxen amassed 3,134 PGT points. He had five tournament victories, 27 cashes, and $6,277,148 in earnings. Due to his Player of the Year performance, he secured a $50,000 bonus.

Now that the 2025 season has concluded, the PGT has already turned its sights to 2026, as this will begin this month (January 26) at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. It’s then on March 1 when it’s the PokerGO Cup Showcase, also at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
