Ingram was a Heisman Trophy-winning running back in Tuscaloosa, capturing the award in 2009 and also helping kick-start the Nick Saban era of glory with a national championship that same season. Now, he’s getting the ultimate recognition for his collegiate excellence at Bama, and so is Suh, who starred at Nebraska from 2005-09, winning every conceivable award a defensive tackle could win after that final season in Lincoln in 2009.
Other notable names from the 2026 class included coaches Gary Patterson and Chris Petersen. Suh will also have some company amongst defensive tackle greats, with Aaron Donald going in with this year’s class along with wide receiver Marvin Harrison and linebacker James Laurinaitis.
Donald starred at Pittsburgh before going on to a dominant career in the NFL. Harrison was a standout at Syracuse before doing the same at the NFL level, while Laurinaitis was a defensive force at Ohio State.
Patterson and Petersen made their coaching legends at the college level at under-the-radar programs, with Patterson making his mark at TCU while Petersen made his at Boise State.
