The Ghayathi Crusher in the Al Dhafra region has been reopened according to the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (Tadweer). The move is said to be part of the centre’s strategic plan to promote environmental sustainability and develop an integrated waste management system in Abu Dhabi. As per a statement from Tadweer, the facility aims to cut construction and demolition (C&D) waste in the emirate and can handle 2,000 tonnes of C&D waste per day (30,000 tonnes per month).
