Keanu Reeves took his longtime girlfriend out for a romantic winter date in NYC after finishing up his run in the Broadway play Waiting for Godot, with the two going ice skating at Rockefeller Center.
His partner, artist Alexandra Grant, shared a peek at the date on social media on Jan. 13, posting a couple of photos of her and Reeves in front of the big lit-up Christmas tree, including one sharing a kiss, and a video of them skating together.
She wrote, "Last Monday, after the run of Waiting for Godot, Keanu invited me on a date in New York City… ⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️. …and we just want to give a shout out to everyone at the Rink @rockefellercenter for welcoming us!"
"You made us feel right at home, cheering us on, and offering us hot cocoa and pompom hats," she went on, revealing that the couple's matching hats were a gift from the staff at the rink.

She had a few more people to thank as well, saying, "Thank you, too, to the folks behind the scenes who made this special night happen — you know who you are!" Grant also mentioned "the Christmas Elves, Nanea and Jeff," who gave Reeves new skates.
Reeves played hockey growing up and was reportedly very good, dreaming of reaching the Olympic team, but an injury forced him to change his career path. Grant referenced her partner's skating history as she added, "Getting back on ice after a few decades and moving from hockey skates to figure skates and #$%@ toe picks is no joke! x."
Grant also called out kind people in the skating community, thanking them for their support, before cheering on skaters and Olympians in their endeavors.
