Fans of Disneyland and Downtown Disney are split on the shopping district's brand-new logo in honor of the 25th anniversary.
The streamlined logo was just unveiled by Disney, going from the previous logo with cursive font for "Downtown" and sparkles around the text to a more modern font with no extra accents.
Downtown Disney first shared the logo on the official account's Instagram Stories, via WDW News Today, with the message saying, "Cheers to 25 years of Downtown Disney District! In celebration of this incredible milestone, we're excited to unveil our brand-new logo honoring the past, present, and future of Downtown Disney District."
"A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has shared in the memories, moments, and magic that have shaped our story over the last 25 years!" the note concluded.

Disney fans quickly started sounding off on the change in style, with many on Reddit sharing disappointment.
"Looks like the magic is gone (no more sparkles) to be replaced by cold corporatism," read one reply, while another wrote a similar comment, "Man….new one feels so corporate. Like the equivalent of modernizing buildings and structures into dull shapes and colors, taking away the whimsy."
Someone else noted that they preferred the previous logo but felt like the new one matched the architecture on site, saying, "I like the first one better but the second seems to match the retro aesthetic of Parkside and new entrance more."

In response to a post about the news on X, others seemed to feel just as divided. One fan who approved the change wrote, "A few modifications I would've added myself, but compared to what was before, its a lot better."
