Tom Bergeron is making his return to one fan-favorite series after being fired from Dancing With the Stars.
"In two weeks (1/28), I’m back to Square one ? @hollywoodsquarescbs," Bergeron teased via Instagram on Tuesday, January 13.
Hollywood Squares is an American game show that originally premiered in 1965. Contestants compete in a game of tic-tac-toe by asking celebrities questions and judging the truth of their answers in an effort to win cash and prizes.
Originally hosted by Peter Marshall, Jon Bauman took over in 1983, followed by Bergeron in 1998 until 2004.
For the show's latest iteration, Bergeron will take on one of the celebrity spots rather than returning to hosting. Former football player Nate Burleson will be hosting the Drew Barrymore produced revival.
View this post on InstagramThe America's Funniest Home Videos host's return comes just weeks after he celebrated the 20th anniversary of Dancing With the Stars.
"It pissed me off. I’ll be honest with you," he told The Hollywood Reporter of his 2020 firing from the ballroom. "I did not like the showrunner. He knew that. I didn’t like being lied to, and he did that. So when he got fired, I think when Twitter was still a thing, I posted, 'Karma is a b---h.' So I couldn’t be happier that the people who are running the show now are running the show. But to be honest, the 20th anniversary, in other people’s hands, would not have lured me back."
