Former HGTV star Egypt Sherrod is sharing how much she appreciates her middle child, Kendall, now 14.
TV Insider reported that Sherrod, who shares Kendall with her husband, Mike Jackson, took to Instagram on January 12 to share a birthday post for her daughter. showed a smiling Kendall, wearing a birthday badge. According to TV Insider, Jackson and Sherrod don't typically upload pictures of their daughter.
In the caption of the post, Sherrod wrote that "Fourteen years ago, this precious baby girl came into my life and quietly, completely changed everything."
"My perspective shifted, my purpose became clear, and love took on a meaning I never knew existed. I truly believe my womanhood began the moment I met her, the day I understood what it meant to love someone more than myself, to sacrifice without hesitation, and to live for something greater. She is my why, in every sense of the word," continued Sherrod in the caption.
She also let her daughter know that she "loves [her] beyond words."

Sherrod and Jackson confirmed that their HGTV home renovation series, Married to Real Estate, wasn't renewed after its fourth season in 2025. While speaking to People magazine in October 2025, the couple, who wed in 2010, said they weren't overly surprised when they received news about their show's cancellation. They explained that their entire crew was changed for the show's fourth and final season.
"We weren't listened to and it felt like [we were] not necessarily respected the same. But they were all different players — not one single person from season 1, 2 or 3 was left," said Sherrod to the publication.
Jackson made similar comments about the production of Married to Real Estate season 4, which aired its final episode in May 2025.
"There were moments where you forgot, 'Wait, we're the executive producers.' We're like, 'Everyone has a say, but it's been kind of reversed.' It was like, 'Wait, isn't this our show, our business, our house, our kids, our story, our marriage?'" recalled Jackson during the People magazine interview.
The pair also suggested they aren't too eager about returning to television.
"For us, being able to do Married to Real Estate was the full 360 of our family and our businesses," said Sherrod. "So we don't wanna go back to like a templated show just to say we're on TV. We just gonna sit still for a minute and either create, which is what's happening now, either create the next phase for us or just not come back to TV. The reality is that linear television is starting to shrink."
