Madison Beer Reveals What Inspired Her New Album Locket
In this image released on December 31, 2025, Madison Beer performs onstage at "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" 2026.Before becoming a style icon among Gen Z and a rising star in pop-R&B, the New York native made her breakthrough after posting cover songs online that eventually caught Justin Bieber’s attention in 2012.
Beer’s impressive rendition of Etta James' "At Last" led the Canadian pop singer to share it with his followers, instantly putting her in the spotlight.
Now, over a decade later, she has released two studio albums and one EP, with a third studio album on the way, marking an impressive journey from sharing cover songs to establishing herself as an artist in her own right.
In an interview with Range, she shared her reflection on her personal and artistic growth during the production of Locket.
“I feel so different today than I did when I started this project,” she told the outlet. “Making [locket] definitely pushed me into a new direction of my life. It opened a portal for me in many ways.”
According to her, she chose Locket as the name of the album because it is “something that you keep close to your heart,” the “All Day and Night” singer explained, adding, “It’s sacred.”
Locket will be released three years after her second album, Silence Between Songs, which was nominated for Best Immersive Audio Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
