Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon is reportedly interviewing for a number of positions, including Tennessee Titans head coach, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport adds Gannon is also expected to interview with the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders for their vacant defensive coordinator jobs.
He will meet with the Cowboys on Tuesday before sitting down with Washington on Thursday. From there, he’ll interview with Tennessee on Sunday.
Gannon was fired last week from his post as Arizona’s head coach. He finished his Cardinals tenure with a 15-36 record and zero playoff appearances following a 3-14 season.
Dallas and Washington would mark a potential return to the defensive coordinator ranks for Gannon. Heading to Dallas would also reunite Gannon with Cowboys offensive coordinator Klayton Adams, who served under Gannon as Arizona’s offensive line coach for two seasons (2023-24).

Before Gannon’s Arizona stint, the former head coach served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ DC from 2021-22.
During that time, the Eagles posted the second-best defense in the league behind 301.5 yards per game. The unit was especially tough against the pass, posting the fewest yards allowed through the air with 179.8 per game. It was also tied for fourth in takeaways with 27 and eighth in points allowed with 20.2 per game.
He went onto to coach the Cardinals in 2023 following Philadelphia’s Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
With Kyler Murray on the mend from a torn ACL and a roster lacking serious talent, expectations were low for Gannon in his first year with the Cardinals. He posted a 4-13 mark in Year 1 before taking a step forward behind an 8-9 record in 2024. At one point, Arizona led the NFC West before an end-of-season collapse.
That downturn only poured into this past season. Despite winning their first two games, the Cardinals failed to put much good on the paper, winning just one more game on their way to a 3-14 mark.
A day after the season ended, Gannon got the boot, with Arizona once again starting a head-coaching search.
So far, the Cardinals have been linked to 11 head-coaching prospects headlined by John Harbaugh and Robert Saleh.
