Metallica has exciting news for its fans.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of their hit albums, Load, the popular metal rock band announced on Instagram on Sunday that their collaboration with Dixxon Flannel Co. is now available for purchase. The red and black plaid flannel takes inspiration from the 1996 album, and includes a sewn-in neck tag featuring the album artwork, a Ninja Star logo on the top collar buttons and other nods to the record.
"It’s hard to encapsulate the raw emotion of this record through mere words," Dixxon wrote in their caption. "So we opted to do it through thread, brass, blood, & everything in between."
This is Metallica's fifth collaboration with the clothing company. They released other inspired by their albums …And Justice For All, Ride the Lightning and 72 Seasons, featuring unique album art, logos and specific color schemes on Dixxon's signature D-Tech flannels.

The massive tour started in April 2023 in Amsterdam and is set to conclude on July 5 in London. In May 2025, Metallica revealed the 2026 dates for their third European leg, which will open in Athens, Greece, on May 9.
Based in San Francisco but formed in Los Angeles by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Metallica has been one of the leading heavy metal rock bands throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Its current lineup includes Hetfield, Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo.
Although the band was formed in 1981, they did not achieve commercial success until the release of their third album, Master of Puppets, in 1986, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest metal albums of all time. After that, they released eight studio albums, all of which have been successful in their own right.
