Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are on cloud nine after welcoming their first child together in December 2025. The new parents have shared a couple of pictures of their newborn, choosing to keep the baby's face hidden from social media.
On Jan. 5, the couple shared the baby's first photo, with Hough and Erbert's hands cradling the baby's itty bitty feet. Then, on Monday, Jan. 12, Erbert posted another pic of her daughter, Everley, but the snap only featured the baby's hand.
It didn't take long for people to react on social media, with many sending an outpouring of love and support to Erbert and Hough. However, there were a few people who commented on wanting to see the baby's face."We literally get on and immediately go to both of your pages, especially in December to see if you guys had the baby and now we are shut out! I really have decided not to follow pregnant celebrities anymore! You come to care about them and all we get is fingers and toes. This is just my feelings. You gotta do what feels right," one person wrote.
"Please forgive us for wanting a glimpse of this precious baby. Maybe at some point you, will feel comfortable sharing one. I’m guessing she looks like you. Either way, I am sure she is beautiful!!" someone else added.
"Can’t wait to see a picture of Everley," a third comment read.
"Awe, I want to see her so bad congratulations," a fourth Instagram user said.
"Unpopular opinion: hiding kids’ faces on social media feels more like a trend than a safety measure. Plenty of very famous people showed their kids publicly and their kids are fine. Parenting and supervision matter more than filters and emojis. I just don’t get the hype," another added.
