‘80s Rock Legend, 78, Adds 2026 Tour Dates With Special Guest

Sammy Hagar may be 78 years old, but the former Van Halen singer shows no signs of slowing down.

Hagar and his Best of All Worlds Band—featuring fellow former Van Halen member bassist-singer Michael Anthony, acclaimed guitarist Steve Vai and drummer Kenny Aronoff—have added eight shows to their 2026 touring schedule, beginning with June 13 in St. Louis and wrapping with a pair of dates in Oxon Hill, Md.

Springfield, 76, will appear as a special guest at the first six shows on the tour.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour and band name is a nod to the format of the tour, which has Hagar taking “a deep dive into the Van Halen years,” but also has him performing his songs from his solo years, his early band Montrose and his post-Van Halen group Chickenfoot.

“We’re celebrating the legacy of the music and bringing it to a whole new generation of fans,” Hagar said in a statement.

A look at Hagar’s setlist from his 2025 Las Vegas residency reveals the band has been focusing on Van Halen hits, including such classics as “Panama,” “Best of Both Worlds,” “Right Now” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.” On the latter song, Anthony handles lead vocals. Satriani also gets some time in the spotlight with his “Satch Boogie” and Hagar gives a nod to his early years with the Montrose song “Bad Motor Scooter” and his solo hit “I Can’t Drive 55.”

The new dates follow Hagar’s previously announced return to Las Vegas for his residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on March 11, 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21, as well as a U.K. arena tour July 4-9. He’s set to return for another series of Las Vegas dates Sept. 18, 19, 23, 25 and 26. He also has a date booked Aug. 8 at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, S.D. that billed as Sammy Hagar & Friends.

For the 2026 tour, Hagar has added a new musician to the band. Keyboardist Greg Phillinganes is set to play all the band’s 2026 dates.

Hagar recently saluted his longtime friend Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, who died on Jan. 10 after a battle with cancer and related lung problems. In his post, Hagar noted that the two rock legends were born just two days apart.
