Aleppo, Jan .10 (SANA) – Director of Health Department in Aleppo on Saturday condemned actions of the terrorist PKK organization and armed-linked groups who expelled medical staff from Yassin Hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud and turning the facility into a military point.
Speaking to SANA, Dr. Mohammad Wajih Jomaa described the move as “serious crime” against the health sector, adding that it poses threat to lives of civilians and patients and deprive residents of their right to medical care.
He held the PKK organization and its armed-linked groups full responsibility for the safety of medical personnel and health property, and urged civilians to avoid the hospital’s vicinity.
Jomaa called on the international and humanitarian organizations to denounce the incident and move to protect medical facilities from being used for military purposes.
