ANTIOCH — A 29-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the neck Thursday night in Antioch, police said.

Franco Cesar.
Officers provided medical aid to the victim until Contra Costa County Fire Protection District personnel arrived at the scene. The man was then taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, Cesar said.
An investigation is underway into the shooting. Police on Friday did not announce any arrests or release any suspect information.
