The Syrian Arab Army Operations Command said Friday in a statement that the Syrian Arab Army sought to halt the criminal actions perpetrated by SDF organization through reaching an agreement that allowed its fighters to withdraw with their weapons. Those criminals reportedly participated with the SDF in killing more than ten Kurdish youths who refused to fight alongside them, subsequently burning their bodies to intimidate residents of the neighborhood” the operation Command disclosed in its statement.
“Following the expiration of all deadlines granted by the army to the SDF in Sheikh Maqsood, the army announces the commencement of a sweep operation to remove the criminal presence of this organization. Once the sweep concludes, the neighborhood will be handed over to internal security forces and state institutions to resume their regular work directly” the Operation Command concluded.
