Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep concern over bomb threat emails received by district courts in Sambalpur, Cuttack and Deogarh.
Emphasizing that the safety of judicial institutions is of paramount importance, LoP Naveen said the security of judges, lawyers, litigants, court staff and the general public must be ensured at all costs.
Naveen urged the concerned authorities to carry out a swift, thorough and appropriate investigation into the threats. He called for immediate identification of the source of the emails and those involved, and demanded that the findings of the probe be placed in the public domain.
Appealing for calm, the BJD President also urged citizens not to spread rumors and to extend full cooperation to security agencies during the investigation.
