The New York State Senate’s website shows that the bill was delivered to Hochul’s desk on Dec. 31. According to Syracuse.com, that means Hochul will have an additional 30 days from the first day of the legislative year, until Feb. 6, to act on the bill.
Both chambers passed the bill in June. The bill would also reorganize the judicial districts in Buffalo and Syracuse.
