Traffic and truck concerns
Some residents have voiced concerns online, fearing increased truck traffic and congestion at an already busy intersection. Village officials acknowledge traffic is a major issue in the area but said planning for improvements is already underway.
The development includes a traffic impact study and proposed roadway changes, including new turn lanes and a future traffic signal tied to a planned extension of Ravinia Avenue. “A large retail development generates far more revenue than vacant land,” Dodge said. “That benefits the entire community.”
