A Thomas County (Georgia) Central High School product, Thomas is listed at 6-4, 225 pounds on the Pitt roster. He heads to LSU after 2 seasons with the Panthers.

Thomas played in all 13 games of 2024, his true freshman season, but was a special teams contributor and reserve tight end. His only receiving production that year came with 2 catches for 22 yards and 1 touchdown against SMU.

This past season, Thomas stepped into a larger role. Playing in 13 games, Thomas had 13 catches for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. He appeared to be in for the starting tight end spot with Justin Holmes (28 catches, 301 yards, 4 TDs) having completed his senior season in 2025.

Thomas is the second transfer commitment of Monday for LSU, joining former Utah running back Raycine Guillory. It will be interesting to see how the Tigers use Thomas in 2026 with Trey’Dez Green set to return for another year in Baton Rouge.
