And, of course, that performance still has room to get better in the early days of 2026, with Ole Miss still alive and well in the Playoff.

According to a separate report on Sunday morning by Jordan Raanan, who covers the New York Giants for ESPN, Weis could be of particular interest to the Giants, whose starting quarterback just happens to be former Rebels star Jaxson Dart.
Weis and Dart were together in Oxford for 3 seasons from 2022-24, so they could be reunited in the NFL in New York in 2026, with the Giants overhauling their coaching staff.
