LSU head coach Lane Kiffin needed only a few weeks to score a massive win on the recruiting trail for his new school. During the Under Armour All-America game on Saturday, Columbia (S.C.) Irmo edge rusher Jaiden Bryant announced his pledge to the Tigers.
Bryant has not yet taken a visit to LSU, according to reports, but the 2027 prospect still pulled the trigger nearly a year before he’ll sign with the program. He picked the Tigers over Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, and Texas A&M.

A multi-sport athlete, Bryant was a state qualifier for his school’s track & field team in the shot put as a sophomore. In 2025, he was The State’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year after collecting 79 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 1 interception.
As a sophomore, Bryant was a similarly disruptive force. He registered 92 tackles, 26 TFLs, 18.5 sacks, 7 pass breakups, and 4 forced fumbles during the 2024 season.
Bryant joins Shreveport quarterback Peyton Houston as 2027 commits for LSU.
Kiffin should enjoy plenty of success on the high school recruiting trail at LSU. His portal prowess is well-documented, but the Tigers have the influence and the pipelines to consistently produce top-15 classes. He did exactly that with his transitional class, signing the 13th-ranked high school class last month.
