El presidente Donald Trump afirmó este sábado que Estados Unidos “gobernará” Venezuela inmediatamente después de la captura del presidente Nicolás Maduro.
“Gobernaremos el país hasta que podamos hacer una transición segura, adecuada y juiciosa”, declaró durante una conferencia de prensa desde su club Mar-a-Lago en Florida.
“No queremos tener que ver con la llegada de alguien más al poder y que se repita la misma situación que hemos vivido durante los últimos años. Así que vamos a gobernar el país”, agregó.
Trump no especificó cuánto tiempo anticipaba que tomaría dicha transición de poder.
