Mission San Jose basketball player Adhuna Devineni is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Dec. 22-27.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Devineni finished with 44% of the vote. Harker basketball player Jillian Chen took second at 28.1% and Leland’s Venice Lu was third at 26%.

Devineni averaged 17.3 points in victories during the week over Granada (63-60), Lowell (55-52) and Edison (55-41). She scored a season-high 24 points against Lowell.
