A preliminary 3.2 magnitude earthquake rattled San Ramon on New Year’s Day, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake struck at 4:58 p.m. and was centered near the Canyon Lakes Golf Course, the USGS said. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage

Since early November, there have been more than 83 earthquakes in a roughly 1-mile radius around the town of San Ramon.
