Tony Iommi is officially returning to solo work for the first time in more than two decades.
The Black Sabbath co-founder and pioneering guitarist confirmed that a new solo album is coming in 2026, sharing the news directly with fans in a newly posted YouTube video reflecting on a momentous and emotional year.
“And then, in 2026, I shall have definitely, definitely my solo album out,” Iommi said in the video. “And I'm really looking forward to that. I'm enjoying doing it, and it's been great fun. I really hope you enjoy it.”
