Step by Step stars Patrick Duffy, Staci Keanan, and Christine Lakin, who all starred in the hit sitcom as part of the blended family at the center of the show, reunited almost 28 years after the show went off the air in 1998 in a heartwarming moment.
Lakin and Keanan shared a photo with their TV father on Instagram on Dec. 31, with Duffy, who played Frank Lambert, sitting in between his two TV daughters. In the series, Lakin played Lambert's daughter, Alicia "Al" Lambert, while Keanan portrayed his stepdaughter, Dana Foster, the daughter of Suzanne Somers' character, Carol Foster.
To note, Keanan is professionally credited as "Staci Keanan," although she currently spells her first name as "Stacy."
In 2025, Duffy looked happy and healthy as he wore jeans, a V-neck shirt and a striped long-sleeved shirt to hang out with his old co-stars. Lakin smiled brightly in a teal mock-neck long-sleeved top and jeans, while Keanan wore a black long-sleeved shirt and what appeared to be a denim skirt, with a cardigan resting on her shoulders.
"We had the best time cooking with our tv dad, Patrick Duffy!" wrote Lakin and Keanan, before telling fans, "Head on over to our FB page for the full segment. ❤️❤️."

In the full video segment, the trio spent some time cooking together, with Duffy talking about the company Duffy's Dough, which he founded with his longtime partner, Linda Purl. The company sells various bread products, and 100% of the proceeds go to hunger relief.
Fans were ecstatic to see the Step by Step stars together again, cheering on the reunion in the comments of the photo.
"This photo made my heart so happy! One of my favorite shows I watch any chance I get!" said one such fan, as another wrote, "Loved watching this!! The bond that y’all have with Patrick is awesome! I love how close this cast is."
