BERGEN, N.Y. — The Bergen Fire Department shared photos on social media from a two-car crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of Jericho Road and Townline Road in Bergen.
Crews were dispatched to the intersection just before 8 a.m. Wednesday for a reported crash with injuries. The fire department says one of the drivers was brought to the hospital and is expected to survive.
According to the fire department, crews respond to multiple accidents at that intersection each year. The department says drivers heading south on Jericho Road focus on the railroad tracks ahead and mistakenly miss the stop sign.
“Please remain alert at all times while driving. A few extra seconds can make all the difference and prevent a serious situation,” the department said.
