Complex Fires Debris Removal Work Continues This Week

Chinese Camp, CA – Debris removal work continues this week for victims of the Complex Fires, with truckloads coming from the Chinese Camp area of Tuolumne County.

Public Works, in partnership with the Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services, is managing the county-led Phase II Debris Removal Program. The work is funded through the county and the state Office of Emergency Services (OES), and there is no charge to property owners. The county has contracted Bay Area Anvil Builders for the removal operations, which were slated to resume this Monday, December 29, weather permitting.

    “To date, 2,164.97 tons, or 160 truckloads, of debris have been removed from 18 parcels,” reported public works officials.
