Rob and Michele Reiner sent holiday cards to their friends shortly before their tragic deaths on Dec. 14. Two weeks after the celebrity couple was found murdered in their Los Angeles-area home, their close friend Neda Soderqvist revealed she received their annual holiday card in the mail along with a generous bonus.
In a post shared to Instagram, Soderqvist, one of Michele Reiner’s best friends as well as her personal trainer, shared the touching inscription written on the card—and she offered a promise to pay it forward.
The handwritten card offered wishes for Soderqvist to have “a great holiday with your family who adore you.” It was signed by "Michele and Rob."
Soderqvist captioned the post with a message about the Reiners’ generosity.
“Today in the mail was a card from Michele and Rob Reiner!” she wrote. “Even from heaven, they are still making sure that everyone receives their bonuses and what really truly touches my soul and heart are the cards that Michele wrote me.”
Soderqvist noted that Michele Reiner always made her promise to use her bonus on herself and not give it away. “She knew me so well but today, Michele, I promise you I’ll keep $100 and the rest I’m going to donate in your honor to one of the most inspiring foundations that I know you love,” she wrote. “Thank you for being my best friend ride or die. Someone who taught me self-worth self-love and I will keep your legacy going forever and I’ll give you the oath that I’ll be here for your children.”

In an Instagram post shared just after the tragedy, the fitness trainer wrote, “Michele and Rob Reiner hold a special place in my heart. After 15 years of working alongside Michele, I can confidently say we were more than just trainer student - we were family.”
Soderqvist also shared that she was the godmother of the couple’s daughter, Romy, and asked for privacy for the grieving family.
In another post, she described the Reiners as “the epitome of selflessness.” “Rob and Michele have touched countless lives with their kindness,” she shared.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Soderqvist talked about the unbearable loss of her close friends. “This is a loss that I don't think I've ever went through in my entire life,” she told the outlet days after their tragic deaths.
“I want people to know that Michele and Rob honestly were two of the most kindest individual human beings that ever walked on this planet,” she said of the beloved couple, adding that if there were more people like them “the world would be a way better place.”
