Nearly 10 years after Stranger Thingswas first released, the series will come to a close on New Year's Eve, and the show's creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, have offered some interesting hints about what could be coming in the finale.

The canon Stranger Things play, The First Shadow, set up the idea that Henry might be a victim of the Mind Flayer, just as Will once was, rather than a full-fledged autonomous villain.
Thus far, however, the show hasn't dug too much into what Henry's true nature is and whether there's any good left in him. It's possible that the Stranger Things finale will cover all these bases—although, as Ross Duffer admits in the interview with Deadline, even with a two-hour runtime, this is a lot to fit into one episode.
