Bravo starVicki Gunvalson got candid about being fired from The Real Housewives of Orange County.
During a December 2025 episode of her podcast, My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, alongside fellow RHOC star, Tamra Judge, Gunvalson noted that her RHOC contract wasn't renewed following the show's 14th season, which ended in 2019. Gunvalson, who began starring on RHOC during its first season, said she was in disbelief when she received the call from Bravo producers to let her know she wouldn't be filming for season 15. She made it clear she wasn't happy about the situation, stating, "It was horrible."
The COTO Insurance owner also explained that she found out she was fired when she was at an insurance conference in Las Vegas with her ex-fiancé, Steve Lodge.
"I'll never forget I was in Las Vegas on the balcony and Steve was in the room and he's like, 'What's going on? Why are you crying?' I'm like, 'I think I just got fired, but I think they have the wrong number,'" said Gunvalson on her podcast.
Judge also noted she was let go from RHOC before season 15 began filming. According to Judge, her firing was unexpected as she had a meeting scheduled to discuss her role for the show's 15th season.
"I was gonna meet the producers and tell them what I'm gonna do, all these things and then I get a phone call, 'Sorry. We decided to go in another direction.' And you know what I said? 'Go f--k yourself,'" said Judge on Gunvalson's podcast.

Gunvalson discussed her return to the Bravo franchise during a November 2025 interview with Access Hollywood, shortly after Cohen's announcement. She said she was completely surprised by Cohen's request for her to come back to RHOC. She explained that she thought she was going on stage to give a speech about Kandi Burruss for her Wifetime Achievement Award.
"When I went backstage and [Cohen] said, 'Please hold my hand. Let's walk out together.' And I was sad because I thought this is my last hurrah," said Gunvalson to the publication. "He's sending me off into the wilderness by myself without an orange. And when he said that, I kind of lost all where I was. And he goes, 'Please say yes.' And I said, "I think I'm getting my orange.' He goes, 'We want you back full-time.' And I just thought, 'Thank you, Jesus.' Because I miss filming. I missed my girls. I missed the joy of being an Orange County Housewife."
