Salt Spring Valley Road, an area prone to flooding, has been closed since Christmas Eve, between Felix Drive and Hunt Road, due to the heavy rainfall. The public works department reports that effective 8:20 am, today, the roadway is back open as the water has receded in the area.
The same section was closed for a few days in November as well.
