In a video posted to the couple’s More Than Reality YouTube channel, Danielle discussed details of a rift between her and her mother. They are currently estranged.
“I chose, you know, this boundary of hey, we needed some separation. There are a lot of things that are just a constant repetitive dysfunction, and we needed to change something, and this is it. So we just needed a break from each other, and we need to separate. And yes, that’s hard," Danielle shared.
“It affected how I was as a mom and how I was as a sister to my sisters," the reality star admitted. "Being on pins and needles if she was coming around and being like ‘I don’t want to like set her off,’ so I’m going to dismiss all the things to like be under this childlike demeanor versus my priority. I just want to be able to forgive her.”
It is unclear whether or not there has been any reconciliation between mother and daughter as yet. OutDaughtered remains on hiatus from TLC's schedule.
