Damascus, Dec. 29 (SANA) Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani received Maj. Gen. Patrick Gauchat, head of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) mission, in Damascus on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the role of the UNTSO mission in documenting Israeli violations in southern Syria and discussed ways to enhance existing cooperation and coordination, in a manner that supports stability and helps maintain calm in the region.
The talks took place within the framework of respect for the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and its territorial integrity, officials said.
