Chloe Meyer-Blohm, from San Jose, Costa Rica, has verbally committed to the admission process* at Yale University for the 2027-28 school year. She wrote:
“I‘m SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Yale University! Thanks you so much to all of my coaches, friends, family and teammates for supporting me throughout this process. GO BULLDOGS !”
Meyer-Blohm is a junior at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. As a sophomore at last season’s New England Private Schools Division I Championship, she placed 2nd in the 50 free (24.03) and 3rd in the 100 back (54.87), earning a PB in the latter. She also anchored Exeter’s winning 200 free relay (23.33) and led off the runner-up 400 free relay (51.99).
In club swimming, Meyer-Blohm represents Commonwealth Swimming in the U.S. and Delfines Humboldt in Costa Rica. Earlier this month, she hit lifetime bests in the 200 free (1:53.69), 100 back (54.84), 200 back (2:02.38), and 100 fly (58.93) at the New England LSC Short Course Senior Championships. At the LCM version of the New England LSC Senior Championships in July, Meyer-Blohm placed 2nd in the 50 back (29.54) and 100 back (1:03.94) and placed 3rd in the 200 back (2:18.73). She clocked PBs in the 200 free (2:08.04), 100 back (1:03.49 leadoff), and 200 back (2:18.73).
Meyer-Blohm closed out the 2025 long-course season at Summer Junior Nationals in Irvine, where she competed in the 50/100/200 back and 50 fly and made finals in the 50 back (20th). She will enter the Yale class of 2031 with swimmers Enna O’Young, Sasha Karafin, and Lacey Strachan, and diver Mollie Gullick.
She would have ranked 4th in the 100 back and 5th in the 200 back for Yale in 2024-25, and her best times would have scored at the 2025 Ivy League Women’s Championships in the ‘B’ final of the 100 back and the ‘C’ final of the 200 back.
Best SCY times:
50 back – 25.71 100 back – 54.84 200 back – 2:02.38 50 free – 24.10 100 free – 51.92 200 free – 1:53.69*Note: A verbal commitment between an Ivy League coach and a prospective student-athlete is not an offer of admission, as only the Admission Office has that authority. The coach can only commit his or her support in the admission process. Ivy League Admission Offices do not issue “Likely Letters” before October 1 of the prospective student-athlete’s senior year of high school. The Likely Letter, while issued after an initial read of the student’s application, is not an offer of admission to the university.
