ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Governor Kathy Hochul called for a state of emergency on Friday evening for more than half of New York counties, including Wayne County.
“As widespread snowfall is expected to start in New York City and its surrounding areas this evening, I will declare a State of Emergency to ensure that our agencies and local partners have the resources and tools they need to respond to the storm,” Governor Hochul said.
The snowfall began at around 12:30 p.m. Friday, and moved out of the Rochester region at around 7 p.m. Friday.
News10NBC’s First Alert Weather team reports that Wolcott in Wayne County got seven inches of snow. Webster was second with the most amount of snow, with around five inches of snow.
