Damascus, Dec. 27 (SANA) Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union mission to Syria, Michael Unmacht, condemned the terrorist bombing that struck a mosque in the city of Homs on Friday.
“Targeting civilians and places of worship is a disturbing and unacceptable act,” Unmacht twitted on X Saturday, expressing solidarity of the European Union with the families of the victims and with all Syrians who seek peace and reject violence.
Eight people were killed Friday and 18 others were injured in a terrorist explosion at Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in Wadi al-Dahab district of Homs, central Syria.
The act sparked widespread Arab, regional and international condemnation.
