Jen Shah just made her return to social media.
The former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star made her first appearance on Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 24 — just two weeks after being released from prison.
In the reel, Shah is sitting with "Shah Squad" member Murilo Bueno. The "Shah Squad" refers to the group of assistants and staff who worked for Shah prior to her prison stay. The video features both Shah and Bueno lip-syncing to an audio that seemingly describes an interaction between two inmates at a prison.
"POV: Jen Shah is telling me a prison bed time story," the post's caption read. Bueno also shared the clip to TikTok.

View this post on InstagramOn Dec. 10, Shah was released from federal prison following a 33-month sentence. She began serving her sentence in February 2023 for her role in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that specifically targeted senior citizens and vulnerable individuals.
In the comment section of the reel, some users felt the post made light of Shah's crimes.
"Why are we giving someone who did such revolting acts, so much of our time?" wrote one commenter. "They are going to be trying to push this scammer on us for views. Small minded people." said another.
Others, however, were excited to see Shah on their screens since a several-year absence on Real Housewives.
"We need her back on tv????," wrote one fan. "Loveeeee and miss her so much glad she’s out." commented another.
"I need her back on my screen," added a third.
Despite fans wishes, Andy Cohen has previously stated that Shah will not be returning to Bravo anytime soon — possibly ever.
“She’s not coming back to RHOSLC,” Cohen said during a December episode of his SiriusXM radio show. “I don’t know that I can see Bravo working with her again. Can we put a period at the end of the sentence?”

On Friday, Nov. 21, People reported that the reality star was granted a Dec. 10 release date by the Federal Bureau of Prisons [BOP].
“Everyone’s very grateful for the BOP’s decision, especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays,” Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni, told the outlet at the time. “It’s a gift she doesn’t take for granted.”
“Jen’s in a really positive, hopeful place mentally,” he added. “She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away, and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before. Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life. She understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.”
Shah served her sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas. While at the minimum-security facility, the reality star was often photographed with other high-profile inmates, including former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes.
Since her sentence began in 2023, it had been reduced multiple times due to good behavior, participation in prison programming, and restitution payments to victims.
Shah has been married to University of Utah football coach Sharrieff Shah since 1994. The couple share two sons: Sharrieff Jr., 31, and Omar, 22.
