Kentucky basketball gave its fans quite the gift on Christmas Day.
The Wildcats are officially bringing back their denim-themed uniforms, just like those worn during Kentucky’s national championship season in 1996. Those Wildcats, led by Rick Pitino, featured now-head coach Mark Pope, Tony Delk, Antoine Walker and more Kentucky legends. The Cats knocked off Arkansas the first time Kentucky wore these jerseys, 88-73, then dispatched Tennessee 90-50 with the road versions just under a week later.

The Wildcats and Volunteers have played some great games over the years since Rick Barnes arrived in Knoxville, and you know what they say; look good, feel good, play good.
Kentucky didn’t have the best non-conference slate, but it’s hard not to feel confident in the Wildcats heading into SEC play now that Jayden Quaintance has hit the floor. The Arizona State transfers played his first game last Saturday against St. Johns and made a major impact, especially on the offensive boards. In turn, Otega Oweh and Jaland Lowe turned in their best performances of the season with some much-needed rim protection and consistent rebounding down low.
The Wildcats will be back in action on January 3 against Alabama.
