ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two people have minor burns after a fire broke out on Christmas morning at a home on Mason Street on the city’s northwest side.
News10NBC sees over a dozen Rochester firefighters at the home, working to pull out charred couches, chairs, and wood. The fire is now out, but the home is heavily damaged.
A Rochester Fire Department deputy chief says the fire started in the living room, then spread to the second floor and the attic. When crews arrived around 3:40 a.m., they saw the porch on fire. The two people at the home managed to escape but were taken to the hospital for treatment.
