Jinger Duggar Vuolo hasn't spent Christmas with the Duggar family in almost a decade — until now.
During the Monday, Dec. 22 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jinger's husband Jeremy Vuolo revealed the couple and their children will spend the holiday with the Duggar family for the first time in 9 years.
"We have not been back to the Duggar house since we've been married, in nine years, for Christmas, and we're going this year," Jeremy said, to which Jinger replied, "It’s exciting."
Jinger then explained that they haven't been back to her family's house for Christmas because it’s "the only time of year" Jeremy’s side of the family is "all together."
"Throughout the years, we've decided, like, 'Okay, that's going to be the time that we spend with the Vuolo family,'" she added.

Jinger — who lives in California with her family — also noted that her family in Arkansas is "always together a lot."
“It's easy for us just to pop back,” Jinger said. “We went back one year, three times in one year, for weddings. So you're like, 'Oh, we weren't there for the holidays,' but we were there for multiple weddings.”
Jinger and Jeremy married in 2016 and have three children: Felicity, 7, Evangeline, 5, and Finnegan, 9 months. Jinger also explained that the family changed their plans this year to give the children a chance to experience a "Duggar family Christmas."
"I miss it, so that's also why," she added.

Jeremy also asked his wife what Christmas morning looks like in the Duggar house during the podcast episode.
"We've done different kinds of things," Jinger said. "Back when I was at the big house, there were some years where we'd be like, everybody has to wait. We go down together, and then it's a free-for-all all, and everybody just opens gifts, and it's chaos."
This year, the Duggar family will be participating in a gift exchange. Jinger revealed that she drew her sisterJana, while Jeremy picked his father-in-lawJim Bob Duggar.
"Give him a nice pair of white T-shirts or socks, or a new package of underwear," Jinger advised her husband.
