Bachelor stars Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar revealed they're nearly ready to have children.
The married couple, who got engaged at the show's season 27 finale, which aired in 2023, spoke about their future during a joint December 2025 interview with Us Weekly.
“We’re so excited to start our family. I think we’re focusing right now on the house. We’re building a home, so it’s gonna be ready in June or July, and then probably around then, we’re gonna start cooking one up," said Biggar to the publication.
Biggar also told Us Weekly that her husband has so many "qualities that would make [him] a phenomenal dad."
"He’s just sweet. He’s patient. You’re understanding. You’re amazing," said Biggar, who wed Shallcross in June 2025.
Shallcross also said that he knows his wife will "be a great mom because she does have such attention and care for people that she loves."
"She’s always thinking of others. She thinks of others before herself, and I know that she’ll do that with our future kids," said Shallcross.
Zach Shallcross Shared How He Knew Kaity Biggar Was 'the One'
In a joint April 2024 interview on Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hourpodcast, Shallcross referenced that the final contestants of his season of TheBachelor were Biggar and Gabi Elnicki. He said he wasn't sure who he was going to propose to until the day before his engagement to Biggar. He said once he stopped "overthinking" his decision, he realized that Biggar was the only person he could imagine spending his life with.
Biggar also said that she understood why her now-husband had some "clouded judgment" about choosing between her and Elnicki.
"Gabi is an incredible woman, so when you have two, I'm going to toot my own horn, but when you have two incredible women in front of you that has to be hard," said Biggar in the podcast interview.
She also said that she would have been able to move on if Shallcross had chosen Elnicki.
"I know who I am, the love that I can give somebody, I know the value that I hold, and I was confident that if Zach didn't see me as a lifetime partner that, eventually down the road, I would hope to find a man similar to the attributes that he carries," said Biggar in the podcast interview.
